FTTX,FTTH,FTTB

FTTX  ( Fiber To THE X):
FTTX, the laying up to a certain point (x) fiber optic cables.

Fiber optics cables allow high-speed and capacity data transfer. Fiber Optic grids transport data with light, thus are not influenced by magnetic disturbance, lightning and paracites.

FTTx gains different names related to different distances.

FTTN ( Fiber-To-The-Node); Closest connection to the end-subscriber , connection to the cabinet  (node), after that data is transported via copper cables to the end-user. Copper cables can reach  up to a few kilometers.

FTTC ( Fiber-To-The-Cabinet); Similar to FTTN, copper cable  lenght around 200-300m FTTB ( Fiber-To-The-Building); The production of fiber into the building. Can connect from a buildings underground box to the end-customer in different ways.

FTTH ( Fiber-To-The-Home); The production of fiber to the home.

FTTP ( Fiber-To-The-Premises); where FTTB and FTTH are used together.
